TravelDeals is a price-measurement site for travel. We check the same hotel rooms the same way every night. Published discounts use recorded prices for that room or a measured comparison with similar hotels; each deal names its benchmark and sample. Price and availability are checked automatically with the supplier before publication.
What the data covers
13,010 properties across 107 cities, priced every night on a fixed grid of stay lengths and booking lead times. Weekly year-ahead comparisons cover 68 of those cities, for one refundable night on dates spread across the 12 months ahead. The forward medians come from that second sweep. Every observation is stored and never edited; corrections are added as new rows, so the published chart is the record we actually collected. The methodology is public, and each city page carries a machine-readable copy of its data.
The year-ahead curve is a dated snapshot of forward quotes, with different booking lead times for different stay dates. It is not a year of historical prices. Quote the sample date, stay terms and comparison alongside any figure you use.

Cite TravelDeals with a link to the page you used. That is the whole policy: our figures, charts and screenshots are free to quote and reproduce, and the link is what lets your readers check the number against the page it came from. For anything the site doesn’t answer, ask us directly.
